Oct. 2, Puppies went to a 2nd grade class this week, they have also started the weaning process and started eating "puppy mush". they have gone outside for a little bit of time for 3 or 4 days, and are exploring, playing with each other, and starting to play with toys, they are starting to chew on things and are learning a lot. They are learning to potty in the potty area. Maui is still feeding them, but doesn't lay down anymore, she stands and the puppies reach up for the milk bar.
Sept. 22,2021- Puppies had baths yesterday, it is so fun to see which pups LOVE the water and which like the water... not of one of them didn't at least like it. they all got comfortable, and we clipped nails and loved on these cuties. They are starting to play with each other, and starting to walk around some. Maui stands most of the time to nurse them now, instead of laying down for them.
2 weeks old Puppies all have their eyes open, and are starting to crawl around. We moved them to a bigger box and have designated a potty area. They are starting to move off the blanket to potty, (well some are). They are big and strong.
but still mostly sleep.

Fred is very smart. He was one of the first puppies to understand training exercises for treats, He is such a love bug, and is calm and so very sweet.
He is learning quickly and is very cuddly. But he has always looked a little different than the rest of the litter, he walked a little funny and at the structure evaluation it was suggested to have a vet look at his back legs. Dr. Pew our reproductive vet looked at him and referred us to Granite veterinary specialist; to an orthopedic specialist. Dr. Willem Becker checked him out, and said that there is a chance he might need surgery in a year for his patella's He has "bilateral lateral patella luxations grad 2-3" that may or may not fix itself. For this reason his price, and contract will be different and he will need someone willing to help him if he needs it. December 5, 2021. We still have 3 of Maui's puppies available. It always surprises me of which puppies are picked last. Elroy has been my workers favorite puppy since she started working here when the puppies were born. Pebbles is gorgeous and loves being loved. And Fred is the quickest to learn and is getting cuter everyday. I think his legs are getting stronger, and since we have insurance already on him, the costs if and when he might need surgery should be minimal
Judy is one of the most easygoing puppies. She is friendly and calm with everyone she meets. She does not mind being picked up and cuddled, and she always melts into your arms in such a relaxed way.

Jane may have a petite face and frame, but is and smart and capable. She has an entertaining personality and it is so fun to watch her interact with other puppies. Even though she is smaller than a lot of them, she can definitely hold her own. She is also eager to please, and very cuddly.

Betty loves your attention. She is very people oriented and looks to you for praise and guidance. She frequently comes up to you and puts her paw or head on you to remind you she is still there and loves spending time with you.
Oct. 6th: Maui's puppies have been to a 2nd grade class, and have been outside playing a lot, they have a cleaner, larger weaning box to sleep in... but only for a few more weeks, and then they will start crate training. They are getting very playful and it is so fun watching them chase each other and explore. Maui still wants to nurse them, but not as often or as long. They are eating 3 meals a day of softened dry kibble (Life Abundance all stages, mixed with Costco puppy food, and goat milk in a blender)
Maui's puppies are doing great! She is such an attentive great momma! The puppies were and are very close to the same size. 4 of them weighed 8 1/2 ounces at birth and all have gained. They are doing great with the early neuro stimulation, and they get to smell a new smell each day. (so far they have smelled, grass, rosemary, lavender, and lemon.)They all saw the Veterinarian and were healthy and fine, they also had their dew claws removed.
Rosie is the most outgoing and friendly of the puppies. She was the first to come when called and the first to run around the backyard. Along those lines, she is very adventurous and has good energy. There is not a person she doesn’t love. adventurous
