January 19, The puppies are 3 weeks and 1 day old today. We are grateful for MLK day. And for dreams that can come true. The puppies eyes all opened last week, and now they can hear and are starting to walk on all fours instead of "army crawl". They are finding their voices with little barks, or whines, and are starting to chew on each other. They are also starting to play with each other. They have a sleeping area and a large potty area, As they get better at going to the potty area, then we will make the eat and sleep area larger. They are getting toys and new things to crawl on or in or under this week. They are getting to be carried to other parts of the house. We will also start later this week with goat milk for the puppies to begin teaching them about food. Ginger is attentive and taking great care to keep them clean and fed She doesn't sleep too much with them any more. but she sleeps just outside the weaning box. This is the most fun stage when the start to move about and play and try to figure out their bodies!
