March 23rd. The puppies are now in the weaning box. and out of the whelping pool. They are still mostly sleeping and eating, but have little moments of chewing each other (toothless chewing) and exploring around a little. They can hear and can startle at new sounds and  we will begin giving them new sounds to hear every day and nice classical and other music to hear too. More people are now able to come and hold the puppies and they seem to really like the attention. (Ecco sure likes all the attention too! )

March 19th, The puppies are starting the super fun stage! Their eyes are open, they can start hearing now, and have started trying out barking and making noises, (sometimes they scare themselves with a surprise bark). They are wobbly and trying hard to get up off their stomachs. Ecco has decided (with the help of well placed peanut butter) to clean her puppies and clean up after them too. Hallelujah! They will be moving from the whelping pool into, to a bigger box where they can start potty training and moving and exploring more things.

March 11th, 2024 Ecco's puppies are doing great we are doing the Early neurostimulation with them everyday, and we are also letting them smell something new everyday. Letting them smell different things this early helps develop their sense of smell, making it easier for them to be able to do scent work, like diabetic alert, seizure alert and other things.  So far they have smelled, chicken feathers, grass, oranges, lavender, string cheese, soap, and vinegar. They have also had a few little baths (mainly because Ecco is still figuring out her job is not only feeding them, but cleaning up after them too. (gross but she should lick and stimulate urination and bowel movements and then lick it all up!)
